Hi All,

Using a clean install of R5E50, I noticed strange colors (like blue-ish faces, ...) when playing back DivX 5 media on the internal player.
This does not happen with Xvid media, and is independent of the output library (libmpeg2, standard XvMC, VIA XvMC).
I was not able to test other DivX media (4 or 6) or the external players, so I do not know if it gives the same result.

Probably a DivX codec upgrade will solve this.

So...
How can I see which version the codecs the internal player is using?
What is the best way to upgrade the codecs (maybe apt-get resource available?)?

Thanks for your help!

Stino

What does the output look like when you use mplayer?

I did a quick test with mplayer.
The problem is not present.

So this is an Internal player only issue.

Also, I noticed now that subtitles when played with mplayer have a black border (which is nice), while the internal player does not have this, even when I enabled it in the playback settings.

I'd say use mplayer :)
