Have a few questions
I am running R5.5 using a PVR150 S-Video input from cable box
Working great but was wondering if I can use the tuner in the
PVR150 also and map channels to record from it. Example
I have one cable box (living room) s-video out to TV and Myth Box
I have 2 other TVs connect direct from the cable jack no cable box
and able to receive anolog channels 2 to something like 70
what I would like to do is record digital channels with cable box and
use a direct cable feed to the pvr-150 tuner to record anolog.
Also if this works is it going to stop after Feb 2009 or are the cable companys going to still send anolog signal I am using Comcast in NJ

Thanks
Dave

You can connect something to every input on the card and cycle through them, but you can only make one recording at a time. There are lots of folks who do things like use the s-video or composite input to record from a camcorder or the like, or transfer old recordings from their VCR to their PVR.

Would I be able to change the recording input via program guide

Say have two channel line ups and map the input to different
channels

I am pretty sure you could set up two lineups in Schedules Direct, one with the digital channels and one with the analog channels. I would probably not have any overlapping channels.

Then you would set up two channel lineups with mythtv-setup, one using your digital SD lineup and one with analog SD lineup.

THEN you would connect (still in mythtv-setup) the digital lineup to your 150's S-video input, and the analog lineup to your 150's tuner input.

Also, with regard to the broadcast cutoff of February 2009, it all depends on the cable company. Most cable companies have stated that they are _not_ going to shut off their analog service yet, but certainly they'd like to get that bandwidth back, so they might limit analog service to only local channels.
