ok so I got my irblaster.info piece in the mail and hooked it up to com1 I got the code for my remote from the LIRC page and put it into irblaster.conf in /etc/irblaster I ran irblaster.sh which set which com port, and I hit 13 to set up my own config because I have a motorola RG2400 box which is not natively supported in KM yet. I can change channels on my STB with the irsend command line, so that's all working fine. I haven't been able to find documentation on what else needs to be done? I know in the mythtv-setup app there's a part that asks what external command to run when changing channels. I also saw some mentioning of change-channel-lirc.sh script needing some work. Can someone point me in the right direction? thanks! |

ok so I ran irblaster.sh and picked something that was in the list, motorola dct2000. Then I went into channel-change-lirc.sh (I think it was in /usr/sbin or /usr/local/bin) and changed the remote name from the dct2000 string to what my remote string was. I also had to add "--device=/dev/irblasterd" to the irsend command string. Then I replaced irblasterd.conf with my remote's command file in /etc/irblaster Then I went into mythtv-setup, and put "channel-change-lirc.sh" in the field that says "execute this command on channel change" I believe it was in section 4 of the setup options. Then I rebooted. I'm sure I could've just restarted some service, but I wasn't sure which, so a reboot fixes them all That's it! |
