Hi,

I was wondering if someone could give me some guidance. I have just purchased a 76cm (30") Sharp CRT 100hz widescreen (16:9) tv.

I am trying to get the resolotion fixed so I dont get black bars on the sides or at the tops. I have tried several different things but cant get it right. I was wondering if someone else here might have a similar tv and could let me know how they have set up for Widescreen. I also read somewhere that the tv can handle 576i and wasnt sure if there was extra settings to set for this.

my settings in xorg.conf came from searching the net but wasn't sure if was ok. Im have a fx5200 vid card and am in Australia. THanks

Try using a Windows app called Powerstrip. It is very helpful at determining modelines in these situations.
