Today I was added a DVD burner and a new heatsing/fan for my mythtv box. After the install, I brought the machine up and I cannot access Mythweb anymore. I am getting this error: Quote: data/cache directory is not writable by www-data. Please check permissions.
I am assuming it is referring to this directory: /var/www/mythweb/data/cache What command should I run to give write permissions for www-data? Thanks, |

It appears that I have more than just mythweb problems. I have some file system issues with /myth. I had a power outage earlier in the day so that may be related. I am running fsck right now to hopefully fix the errors. |

I ran fsck and everything comes up fine now. My first clue that I had a bad file system is when mythbackup failed. I did a reboot and got the fsck forcing a file system check. It had some more than unusual file errors during bootup so it told me to run the fsck manually. After the file system check was completed, everything came up fine. I made sure to do a mythbackup as well (It was successful as well). |
