So, a seasoned admin am I and still a silly mistake I make. I was updating /myth to use LVM and somehow forgot to copy off the contents of /myth (wine may or may not have been involved!). Anyhow, there were no recordings in there, but all the other scripts, directory structure, etc was completely lost.

So, this leads me to my question: Is there a way to rebuild /myth without having to completely reinstall?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. Forgot to mention, this is R5E50.

This is an off-the-wall idea, but how about setting up KnoppMyth on a junk computer or even a virtual machine, then zipping its /myth partition and transplanting it into the "real" mythbox?

mkmythdir just makes the dirs though, no? (Don't have access to the box right now to test it). I also am missing the scripts, etc from mythstream, etc.

At least that'll get me partway though, thanks!

So, I looked up what calls mythmkdir, to see what it calls next.

(hint, /usr/local/bin/KnoppMyth-run)

install_mythburn.sh
install_mythstreamtv.sh
