any suggestions on what I should do You'll need to be more specific. What errors are you getting? What's your hardware? What version of KM are you using? Was this an existing setup for mythtv where you're just replacing or adding a card, or is this a first time install on that box? |

I am going along with the exact guide on http://knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=CompileIvtv (and my kernel does match up) and all it gives me for the errors is Code: [ivtvct1] Error 1
[all] Error 2 |

Sounds like you're missing something in the directions. Are you cutting and pasting the commands? If not, did you make any typos or not match the case and punctuation? Also if you're on R5E50 you should be using these directions: http://knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=CompileIvtv-0.10.0 |

What version of KnoppMyth are you running? If you are running R5D1, R5C7 or earlier you need to read the part of the directions that say: Quote: 1. Find and unpack the Linux kernel source if this hasn't already been done. If you don't see a directory called kernel-source-2.6.13.2-chw-3 (or kernel-source-2.6.15-chw-2, or something else like that) when you do the "ls" command below, then unpack the archive using the "tar" command shown. Note that the name of the kernel "tar ball" may include a different version. If so, "Don't Panic!" Just go with it using that name.
If you are running R5E50 you should be following the directions I tried to point you to earlier. For the kernel source see this thread: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=13281 |
