Hi,

What might be the problem : When I do connect my digital camera to the knoppmyth machine, I will get popup window asking if I want to import images. The digital camera /dev/sda1 is mounted. Either I select the import or ignore, the mythfrontend process starts to eat up 99% of CPU. After this I can not connect the digital camera again to the system (or I can connect but it won't be mounted any more). ?

I am using latest SVN version of mythtv, because the default version coming with R5E50 doesn't work with my DVB-C cable digi provider.

Thank you for any hints / tips.

-Mika

The popup really has nothing to do with MythTV.
Code:
gnome-volume-properties
Will tell you what runs when you select that option...

The frontend is probably scanning through all the files on your camera. This will take a while, particularly if gnome also has an application doing the same thing. After it has done this, does MythTV jump to the MythGallery lugin? If so, then that is not really a problem.

I assume you are using the Eject function before you disconnect the camera?

SVN MythTV has some extra debug if you run 'mythfrontend -v media' which may help debug this further
