| Post subject: | CPU usage spikes when transferring files with samba |
Well heres what happens, when I run top when the computer is idling, the load is on average 0.05, and the top running programs are [top, init, migration/0, etc..]. When I transfer a file using samba the load goes around 3.54 and the top running programs are [mythbackend, mythfrontend, x-window-manage, smbd, x11vn Why do all of these suddenly appear at the top and take all my resources when all I am doing is using smbd? Any help would be great! Thanks. |
