Post subject:  R5F1 upgrade now won't boot (after sucessful install)

I upgraded this weekend from a fresh install of R5E50. I didn't seem to have any problems with the auto upgrade. All of my recordings were still there, mythtv still started right away, I just couldn't get back into mythweb with the mythtv user (which was solved somewhere else, and I still can't ssh with my user but that has something to do with the RSA key changing which I will figure out.

Yesterday just before I shut everything down I had a "error while displaying video" :(
Today I turn on my knoppmyth box ,which was restarted at least 3 times yesterday without problems, and I can't get knoppmyth to start. I dropped to a command prompt (Alt+F1) and I see there is a error that keeps repeating.

Code:
INIT: Id "c7" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

I don't know what to do from here, can anyone help?

I also searched Google and found one link with no answer, and I searched the forums but the search is not very good so I didn't want to look through 20 pages of results.

I just did a hard reset and knoppmyth came up but I would still maybe like to have a answer to why this may have happened. Thanks :)

It's actually booting just fine, it's your X server that isn't starting. See the following troubleshooting page on the wiki: http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=BlackScreenAfterInstall

Searching for "install-nvidia-debian.sh" or the error message ' Id "c7" respawning too fast' in the forums should find even more focused instructions. Don't forget to check the "Search for all terms" checkbox.

BTW - This doesn't really qualify as a Tier 1 Recommendation. Please see the topic sticky posting here - http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10955 Given a hardware description and the tweaks need for your X server it might qualify as a Tier 2 Recommendation...
