So after being dumb and not writing down changes i made to my xorg.conf file to get a correct widescreen modeline, i installed ubuntu over the top of my knoppmyth system. Now i have decided to come back to knoppmyth and i cant sort out my xorg.conf. My TV is an Acer AL2671W with a screen resolution of 1280x768. Now i have used the XFree86 modeline generator to try and get a modeline which will suit my TV and im am nearly there. However the modeline has set my image to be too wide and as such i am missing a fair amount off the left and right sides of my screen, although the height of the image is perfect. Can anyone give me some pointers as to what i can do to rectify this problem? Many thanks |
