I input the password and it rejects me

It worked with previous versions, why not this one?

If you are using 5F1, you can now only logon at the alternate user created during install, not as mythtv and root.

I suspect that Cecil will delete this, however, that being said, newer versions will not allow you to SSH in as root. I believe this is posted in tjc's hints and hazards:

If you are truly interested in avoiding pitfalls this is excellent reading and well worth th 10 minutes of your time: it can save you hours of headaches and avoid needless posting (I've been guilty of this). Good job TJC.

You should be able to SSH in with account that is made up the first two letters of your first name + your surname (unless you changed it. For example Robert Jones => username=RoJones.
