Post subject:  Unable to get into MythTV configuration menu

Hi,

I just installed Knoppmyth.
All went smooth.
After booting i get the knoppmyth menu where i can set the timezone and configure the eth0 adapter. (nic is connected)
All seems to go well and i get the question if i wish to use the tv-out of my hauppage 350 pvr tvcard, which i answered with NO.

Then knoppmyth starts a batch of commands and seems to restart mythtv among other services.
At that time i get the same question for the root password, which i allready got after booting the system. The password is OK (again) and i get the same questions about timezone...
Though i would like to get into the mythtv setup screens to configure the tvcard, recordings etc.

Can someone tell me why i don't get that possibility ? According to the manual mythtv setup should automatically start, but it doesn't in my case.

Many thanks in advance!
Robert

If you're in the frontend, issue Alt+S to enter the backend setup.

Hi, thanks for your answer.
I tried alt-s several times, but it gives the inital knoppmyth setup with timezone and nic settings all the time.

Same i get after entering "mythtv-setup" command

Hi,

Managed to see the "warning" the system gives after having entered the timezone & nic settings; knoppmyth then starts a batch in which it restarts several services and gives following "error".

"libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x5b mythtv"

I am not sure if this has something to do with it, but maybe someone can explain ? (i googled, but not much to find about it)

Would be great, thanks.
