I tried mythtv, did some xorg.conf tuning and it was fine. This was a year ago. I isntall windows xp, the tv got this graying tone but displays clors but got lines and grayish tone....so I try the latest mythtv and its the smae, the colors are there but the dang grayish colo and lines. Does anyone know what I am talking about. Its not the card of cable. I also get this faint dark line going down the screen over and over.

Last time I had mythtv it was just fine. Could it be my xorg.conf?

As you had the same problem with WinXP, it is unlikely this is a xorg.conf problem. So it points to a problem with your TV or connections.
I would check the settings on your TV and PC whether you have set S-Video or Composite output and what you have set the TV to.

scuzzo84 - You might also want to provide a more detailed and grammatical description of what you are seeing and what you've tried. When this was originally posted, I gave up on trying to understand it after 3 readings, so some extra effort spent on clarity is definitely likely to get you more and better responses.

BTW - Don't take this wrong, we really want to help, but if we can't make heads nor tails of what you're asking, any advice is likely to be useless.
