Hi all,

when I watch while mythtv is recording (timeshift) everything works fine. But when I wanne watch it after the record is completed, the recording is choppy - very strange.
Any ideas?

PS I live in germany (PAL-standard)

I'm no expert here, but by any chance did you set it up to flag commercials after recording? I could see it being a little choppy if it is scanning the recording at the same time it is flagging just due to system and disk utilization.

What if you watch it the next day etc... is it better/worse/same?

Also, it never hurts to provide some details about your system, motherboard, processor, RAM, tuner card, drives, etc... The more info the better the help...

I solved the problem by switching off the "Deinterlace"-algorithm in the playback-setup. Now it works fine.
