Post subject:  Dialup gateway

Hi,

R5F1 came prepared with most of the tools for setting up a dial up connection, pppconfig, pon, poff, route and I can make it dial for me, login and do the pap handshaking. The ISP then returns the remote ip, local ip, dns ip's and all is good except I don't receive a gateway ip. Is there something missing that I don't obviously see?

Permission is another issue, user needs to be a member of dip to use dialout.. Checking /etc/group shows that mythtv is a member of dip yet if one tries to use pon as mythtv, it errors out saying about not being a member. I have linked my root:dialout /dev/ttyS1 to /dev/modem which becomes root:root. I would think the ower/group would follow the link?

If I reboot into Ubuntu, all is well, hardware works fine but that doesn't mythfilldatabase for me. I have not had this issue with previous KM versions.

Thanks
Mike
