I finally got spdif going on mythtv, awesome!

Unfortunately though, now I can't increase/decrease the volume. Before I was able to control it through my lirc file and my remote.

I even tried manually going into alsamixer and moving up/down all the sliders, no difference. It used to work with the umm PCM slider. However, when I mute/unmute the IEC958 item, the sound mutes.

The problem with the IEC958 is it has no volume slider.

Any ideas?

I haven't tried it, but perhaps the "Use MythTV volume controls" referenced in http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... AudioHowTo ?

Yeah, turning that setting on/off doesn't make a difference.

With it on I tried changing on of the drop down's, think it was something like "Control by" default or master. No diff.
