Has anyone tried out the following link? Will a cut and paste of everything on the page work in Knoppmyth? I'm to scared to break my machine so i'm asking others. http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/My ... e_Trailers miker ________ Yamaha Mo History |

Tried this on a Virtual Machine. Code: # sudo apt-get install php5-cli
Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done The following extra packages will be installed: php5-common Suggested packages: php-pear The following NEW packages will be installed: php5-cli php5-common 0 upgraded, 2 newly installed, 0 to remove and 200 not upgraded. Need to get 2610kB of archives. After unpacking 5902kB of additional disk space will be used. Do you want to continue [Y/n]? Followed the rest of the steps from WIKI and viewing default 480 trailers. viewed 7 + trailers and was fine, 1 trailer wouldn't start though (not sure what made me try Bratz trailer). Rebooted and nothing blew up. Looks good. I'm torn I like the movie posters from this Trailer script http://www.cas.mcmaster.ca/~sweenet/trailers720 But I like how this script doesn't require multiple GBs of disk space for trailers. |

I think there is another thread started about this BUT It is working fine for me and my SD tv. The hardest part was finding the win32 drivers. |

I found it easier to install those with this helper script. http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=14399 BTW my test machine was R5F1 |

Hi, As a general rule, if you only see to be installed has a value, it is usually safe. 0 upgraded, 2 newly installed, 0 to remove and 200 not upgraded. I have been safe with the exception that if it only installing 1 package and upgrading 1 package that it usually is simply upgrading itself. Mike |

I tried it, too, minus the cron job. Seems to work well, except it's not Apple's full trailer list - just the latest. Anyone know of an RSS feed for all their current trailers? Also: Quote: I like the movie posters
There seems to be no reason why you can't have both the on-demand trailer downloads and movie posters. I'd like to see this eventually migrate into /myth/video/trailers so each available trailer would have cover art (or a screenshot acting as cover art) and be launchable just like any other content in /myth/video, except it'd be a URL instead of a file. There are file formats that exist just to redirect players to URLs, but I don't know any off the top of my head. One of those formats, encapsulating the trailer's URL, should give MythVideo something it can play. |

It would be pretty incredible if someone were to write a script that will fetch theater schedules and incorporate it into something like this. |

LXMSuite talked about adding movie schedules into MythTV (TMS has data for that) but it never took off. So the data is out there, but it has to be paid for and integrated into MythTV. It's quite do-able, but it requires time and effort. |

The latest SVN version of MythTV to be .21 has "MythMovie Time". So maybe a marriage of the trailers and Movie time modules. http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/m ... ?page=last human wrote: Anyone know of an RSS feed for all their current trailers?
