I cannot seem to get the auto-transcode capability working on my R5F1 machine. Through some old posts along with the user manual, I see there are two flags that need to be enabled in order to get this working: - The 'Enable auto-transcode after recording' for each of the recording profiles, and - 'Allow auto transcoding' under General (Jobs) in mythtv-setup For my setup, both of these are set. I tried recording with the auto-transcode flag in both mythfrontend and mythweb. Results: Nothing in job queue is created for the auto-transcode. Nothing in mythbackend.log indicating an attempt to transcode. However, manual transcoding (as in going to the recording, and activiting the transcode) works perfectly. Only auto-transcode doesn't activate. Any other ideas what the issue may be? |

I'm having the same problem, but I think I may have found an answer here: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=510526 I just went through my recording/transcoding profiles and changed all the RTjpegs to MPEG4. I'm attempting to transcode these again, as I was getting a "Transcode failed with status: 247" error whenever I tried to manually get it to transcode. I'll post in a little bit with hopefully a successful message!

Well, maybe not ... got a "Transcode failed with status: 240" this time. Looks like I have some investigating to do! |
