Post subject:  How can I setup two serial IR blasters for different STB's?

Greg Frost (The IRBlaster Master) had a post in this thread http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=10728 which eluded to modifying some scripts to allow a second serial IR Blaster to control a second device. The second device being a different remote than the first.

This is exactly what I need to do, but do not know how. My first serial IR Blaster was setup totally by the R5F1 install script (/usr/local/bin/irblaster.sh) and works great. I need to setup a second one for a totally different STB. I understand a second instance of the lirc daemon needs to be running, but again I'm not very familiar.

Anyone know of a guide or have some words of advice?

It's probably easier to connect the two blasters to the same port and just append the lircd.conf files for the two devices and put it in /etc/irblaster/irblasterd.conf
That would allow the one instance if lirc (irblasterd) to control both devices.

You're right, that does sound a lot easier. :D

Actually, I was just wondering about this.

The appended file should look like:
<begin remote>
remote#1
remote#2
<end remote>

OR Should it look like this?
<begin remote>
remote#1
<end remote>
<begin remote>
remote#2
<end remote>
