Hello,

Flash streaming is working in my house. Now I am trying to get it working from outside my network. I am forwarding port 81 on my firewall to port 80 on my Myth box to get my MythWeb page. That works without problems. I also went in a modified my "streamrecording.php" to point to SERVER_NAME instead of HOST_URL (or whatever it used to be) so that the link in the streaming page would not be "servername:81:8090". I also am forwarding port 8090 to my Myth PC.

I still don't get any shows streamed outside my network. I just get the white box where the Flash stream would be.

Has anyone else gotten flash streaming working through a router? I am relatively certain that there is just some small component that I am missing, I just can seem to pinpoint the trouble spot.

Thanks,

I believe the webpages are accessed through https thus you need to open port 443 to allow you access to the pages themselves. If you are then streaming through the web page using the inbuilt flashplayer you shouldn't need to do anything else. The only reason you would have to do the port 8090 is if you are streaming to another program such as VLC or something like that.

I hope that makes sense, if not please let me know and I will clarify it for you.
