I've downloaded channel icons to /home/mythtv/.mythtv/channels then added the relevant name to the mythtv setup channel editor (I made sure mythtv-backend was stopped). Then I restarted the pc. On mythweb the channel icons appeared fine in the guide. But on mythtv whilst viewing the guide the icons didn't appear. The box is ticked in the setup page to display the icons so I can't understand why they don't come up on the guide or when changing channel. I use the retro theme but I'm sure they should come up on this. Please could someone help on this, thanks.

 ....found out the problem -- I assumed that myth would be clever enough to 'default' to folder /home/mythtv/.mythtv/channels so that I could just type in the file name and not its full path. This worked for a couple of boots and then stopped working. When I inserted the file name and full path info it worked fine everytime! Lesson: don't try and save time by only entering the filename: always enter the full file name and path info!!!! [Tip: highlight the path /home/mythtv/.mythtv/channels after entering it the first time by holding down <shift> whilst using the arrow keys, then <ctrl>+<c> to copy and simply <ctrl>+<v> to paste each time!!]
