| Post subject: | After playing video, frontend stops |
I have R5F1. When I play my own videos (not recorded TV), both DivX and XVid, sometimes when I either hit the stop button on the remote, or when the video ends on its own, the frontend stops and I am back at the desktop. It doesn't happen all of the time. Is this some sort of issue with mplayer or the Myth interface to it, or ???? Thanks for any help. |

Cannot say I've heard anything like this... I'd say investigate the video from the terminal and mplayer. What happens when you stop it? Does this happen if you use Xine? |

I had this happen a couple of times recently for a couple of videos, while using Mplayer, no problems like this before. I would assume it's something to do with the particular source material. Anyway I've switched over to the internal player and it seems to work better anyway. Bruce S. |

I am not sure how to use Xine. Is that set up through Myth somehow? Also, Bruce: I am not sure what you mean by the "internal" player. I am playing the videos using the Myth menus, and it runs mplayer in the background. Isn't that the internal player? Thanks. |
