Hi,

Machine
AMD Athlon 2100
1GB Ram
120GB HD
ATI Radeon 9000
Hauppauge PCI Wintv

I have installed knop[pmyth and its working ok with the above hardware. I managed to get the tv out to work, and display ok on my tv. I want to improve the quality of the video, and my TV does support RGB Scart (Sony KV-32WF1U) its a widescreen tele. I am just wondering what i need to do to change from tv out to RGB Scart (from the vga port).

I have seen several cable wiring diagrams some with a circuit to combine syncs and some without. Do i need the circuit? I've heard some people mention that some ATI cards actually have a composite sync output?

This site http://www.nexusuk.org/projects/vga2sca ... m1191/view talks about VSYNC and HSYNC and the dot-clock frequency. Does my ATI support changing all these? What is the correct sync ranges and resolution for my 32" widescreen?

I also want to run another tv from the same myth tv frontend/backend (mirrored, dont need seperate controls etc only me and gf in house). The second screen is a 17" lcd this has rgb scard, SVideo, composite and vga input. What is the best way to connect this at the same time? Obviously ATI radeon has a DVI port aswell as the VGA, so can i just connect that to the tv? When you mirror, do they need to run at the same resolution? Will the resolution for vga and rgb scart be compatible? or should i make a second rgb scart adapter and connect the tft with this also? This will also be about 10m away, so can i use shielded cat5 for the run?

With regards to sound, first of all im just going to split the analogu sterero output into two, so that it can be heard on both. But in the future i think im going to use the spdif in the lounge. Can i use both spdif and analog at the same time?

Im trying to do this on a budget, but if i'd be better of changing graphics card then let me know of a model that would make things better. I also have a Matrox P650 dual DVI available, or a TNT2M64.

Thanks for your help. Im really excited by this whole mythtv thing.

Once i get both screens working how i want, i'll have a few more questions on remotes and the input card.
