Is there a bittorrent client included in KnoppMyth R5F27? If not, which one is the easiest to apt-get (an will not harm/modify/clobber the default packages). |

I'm also interested in a text-only BT client AND server. I'd love to be able to serve up KM distros from my KM box while it's not otherwise busy. It seems like a way of giving KM the ability to reproduce itself, making it the first distro which is fully "alive". ![]() |

I installed TorrentFlux on my MBE. Although GUI driven, it's easy. I made an entry on my KnoppMyth index.html page for it so I can access it without typing in the URL. A search of these forums should produce instructions. |

So, the answer is there is no bittorrent client included in KnoppMyth? (By the way, it appears that TorrentFlux is no longer under development.) |

(By the way, it appears that TorrentFlux is no longer under development.) Why does it have to be included? With an Internet connection, you have choices and a one-liner between you and your torrent software. "sudo apt-get install bittornado-gui" I'd imagine we can't be seen to be encouraging video torrents since they're mostly not 100% legal. Mike |

It was just a simple question. While no one has answered directly, it appears that the answer is "no, there is not a bittorrent client included with KnoppMyth". Thanks for the suggestion of BitTornado... I have used it before with success. |

Perhaps for a future knoppmyth version. http://www.last100.com/2007/07/17/democ ... live-miro/ Miro (formerly known as Democracy Player) is an open-source Internet TV application that combines a media player and library, content guide, video search engine, as well as podcast and BitTorrent clients. |

Hi all, I use Azureus in console mode, this runs on very minimal memory. I also run the Swing UI plugin that gives a web based interface for managing the torrent. I like azureus because of the flexibility it has. The console mode keeps the resources down considerablely. BigB |
