Hi,

Old problem for me but I have an e-Machine T3104 that I can not not get audioto play normally. It does work correctly un Ubuntu & M$ however, with the last ~ half dozen versions of KM it goes into this repeating for several seconds. Music will play but skips chunks and repeats for a couple of seconds upon Esc.,

currently this is the append line
splash=silent apm=power-off noapic noioapic nomce

The device is:
VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller

Any hints?
