i did a search for gamepad setup and i found this Quote: cesman modprobe joydev then try jstest if all is well use modconf to select the module to load on boot. I am trying to setup a gamepad but all the posts pretain to usb joysticks. I typed: Code: modprobe joydev then typed Code: jstest /dev/js0 i also tryed /dev/js1 /dev/djs0 /dev/djs1 All of them say: Quote: jstest: No such file or directory
is the procedure different for gameports then USB?? |

it turns out that the joystick drivers that are installed in knoppmyth dont support the soundblaster live gameport.. The new version of joystick 1.2.15 or whatever im away from the site now supports it, but you have to recompile the kernal. i think ill take the usb route.
