I just got my knoppmyth box running, and I must say that things have gotten a lot better from my 1st try to install it almost a year ago. I am now to a point where I can actually use it connected to my HDTV, and its working for the most part ok. The only problem is that when watching live tv some of the channels are pretty blurry, and have some horizontal lines, but most of them are ok. The colors seem off on almost all the channels too.

Im using two PVR-150's, and have increased the resolution on the recording profiles to 720x480, and increased the bit-rate a lot too.

What type of connection are you using to your TV? HDMI, DVI, 15pin, Svideo?

The blurry channels sound like it may just be a week signal.
What kind of spliter do you have and how many times is it getting split? Also how long are your cables (the line going to your cableTV soure) and are rg-6 or rg-59? rg-6 is better and will allow for a longer run.
If it isn't marked on the cable they are low grade cable and will most likly have high signal loss.

Im using component connections to the TV 1080i, and RG6 to the tuners, I have a single 1000Mhz splitter then another 6" of RG6 directly to the tuners. Some channels seem to be a lot better than others, but none of them are 100% clear.

Im pretty sure its not the cable as I used high quality RG6 cable with qualit compression connectors on all the cables. In my low voltage box I used a 1x8 2000Mhz splitter from leviton. Signal directly to the TV from the wall looks great. Perhaps its the 1000Mhz splitter causing the problem.

DVD playback is crystal clear though, and so is the KnoppMyth GUI.

Have you been through the R5F27 hints and taken all the IVTV related actions indicated?

Have you been through the Troubleshooting pages on the wiki?

See the links in my signature block below.

I had this problem. Changing to 720x480 seems to have cleared it up. There is another thread with this problem, but so far the only advice is to set the resolution to 720x480.

amd x64 2800+
PVR-150
2 hd tuners

Make sure the cards aren't near anything too noisey. My card was too close to the powersupply and I had similar problems.
