How does one essentially reset select a theme from the shell? I switched themes from the GUI and everything looked great. For some reason now, when I start mythtv up, I fluxbox starts just fine, I see the nvidia splash screen, but when mythtv's GUI comes up, all I see is a black screen. If I hit ESC, I get the familiar "Do you really want to exit Myth TV?" prompt so it appears as if my menus are hosed.

Thanks for the advise all.

Covered in the hints... See: "Known Changes 7.1"

Thanks, tjc. I actually found out the problem wasn't the theme, it was the fact that I changed the painter from Qt to OpenGL. Apparently, my 440 MX didn't like that.

I went in via an xsession and changed it back to Qt and now all is well... I wonder if this is related to the newer nvidia drivers because I'm nearly positive that opengl worked w/ R5D1.

Most likely. There are any number of problems folks with older generation Nvidia video cards are having with the new drivers. The best available advice at the moment is to revert to the older ones from R5F1.
