Clean install of R5F27 PVR-350 for recording and playback - audio playback through motherboard sound card. Shows record ok through myth - but there is no audio on playback. If I go to a command line and play the mpg there is audio, so it is recording it, and the system's audio subsystem works. I have verified that the "use PVR-350's audio playback" option is not checked. While I am out of the dog house with SWMBO -- at least it's recording.... I would like to get playback through mythfrontend working. |

What sound device is MythTV set to? This is under the settings on the frontend. I believe it should be /dev/dsp |

When set to use PVR-350 decoder as the output device (Video), it does not produce sound -- no matter what the "use PVR-350 audio out" setting is. If I switch to using CPU decoding, I get sound. I think the PVR card is flaking out - I just had a whole day where no audio was recorded ... mplayer reports no audio in the MPEGs. |
