Hi!

I've managed to connect my PC to my myth-box using Samba (from windows to Linux. The other way around I get a No Memory-error when trying to mount a dir).

I used this connection to move over som divx-files. After a while they showed up in myth. But:

Some files appear 2-3 times. Both in the "Watch video" list and in the "Video Manager". I've tried to delete some of these files (both through the Video Manager, and through the Samba connection), and only one instance dissapears. The other two can't be deleted, since "file is not found".

Any suggestions on how to deal with this problem? Is there a way to "reset" the video-list, and have it being re-read? Why does this happend?

(I hvae moved the files back and forth through sub-dirs, when first starting out (before they even appeared once), as they took a while to appear, and I thought I was doing something wrong).

br,
Mike

Howdy,

Try removing the files from your /myth/video dir, then go into Video Manager and let it scan. With no files there it should come up empty. Then copy them back over and enter Video Manager again and see what happens.

Regards,
Kirk.

Ok, havn't try removing all of them. Should give that a try.

However: Some files that are removed, still excists (in two copies) in the video manager. Including a whole directory that's been removed.

If things look ok in the file system, rescanning as suggested above should resync the database and thus fix the problem.

Cheers,
/Chris

I tried clearing out the video directory (except for the motion and cdrom dir), and then opened the video manager. It removed all files that excisted once, but the ones that excisted twice and three times still remains.

Is there a wy to force re-scan?

I'm using version R5F1

I'd be looking at clearing out the entries manually from the database then, either by using phpmyadmin, or mysql syntax if you're familiar with it. Once everything is cleared, then copy your movies back and scan again to populate it.

Hi,

Make sure you don't have a recursive link in your video folder, ie, /myth/video/video as that will make ghosts. You rescan the videos when you go into the video tools area where you can add an image for it.
