No knoppmyth for me anymore?

Post subject:  No knoppmyth for me anymore?
Im quite new to linux and I just managed to install the KnoppMyth on my spare pc. As it booted up for the first time, i ran the frontend and answered the prompts.. When I was looking at the different menus it just froze on Web settings (I belive it was this). So I hit ctrl+alt+f1 and typed in reboot. After reboot, the frontend didn't pop up anymore and all i can see is a tux watching a tv.
As Im really new to this, please be gentile. :oops:

Try pressing on the keyboard <alt> x
Then in the box type: mythfrontend
and press enter

Hopefully it should bring up the frontend or at least come up with an error which might help track down the problem :)

Yeah, that should return an error if it doesn't launch the GUI.

Thanks for your replys, Im afraid ive taken the easier way and installed ubuntu and with it, the mythtv. I did try launching the frontend thru xterm and it returned something like: "Could not launch Xserv". When i typed in startx, it said it could not connect to database or something like that.. But it doesnt matter anymore, ive got it up n running on ubuntu now.

<alt> <m> also restarts the frontend. I had that mapped to a button on my remote :D

Andy,

I must ask your motivation for postings, you have made 2 posts. 1st post is that it froze on you and you rebooted and nothing after that. 2nd post is you install Ubuntu, so WTF is the point?
