I had to recompile LIRC to work with my IRman Remote. I got everything working but when i reboot the lircd isnt running when the frontend starts so my remote doesnt work. If I use the init script to start lirc & restart the frontend everything works fine until I reboot again. When watching the startup, I see "Starting Lirc.." but its not running when the startup is finished. I tried putting a start command in /etc/bootmisc & i see it tries to start twice & the second time it states lirc is already running. Also I was trying to get my VFD to work I noticed LCDd showed the same behavior of starting but not running after startup has completed. Any Ideas what is killing these services during startup?
