Ever since updating to the latest version I have been getting this strange issue. My roommate bought a couple new DVD's the other day and asked if I could back them up and put them on the main BE in my closet so it could be watched on the FE he has in his room as he doesn't have a DVD player in there. I did so like the rest of my DVD collection. I just follow a guide I found to backup to Xvid. Now when played as soon as the movie starts the remote will stop working. Once the movie is finished and drops back to the menus it works fine. I thought it may be something with the way I backup my DVDs but they are all backed up the same way with the same settings except if its a good action movie I up the quality a bit. To make things even stranger it doesn't do it all the times on the same videos. I rebooted the frontend and then tried again and was able to control the movie fine. Last night I tried again and as soon as the movie started I lost remote control again. Its not a huge issue since when I start a movie I intend to watch it all the way through but its really annoying if I have to pause or stop the movie for any reason as I cant. I either have to let it run or reboot the machine. Anyone else have this problem? |
