Just wondering what the optimal configuration is for mplayer.

What parameters is everyone using to take advantage of the hardware encoder/decoder when playing mpg's and divx to lose some of the stutter. With default settings and fs full screen my playback looks like hell. If I reduce the window size then it gets better.

well that would depend on if you are talking about dvd playback or mpeg4 playback, for dvd/mpeg2 there are some options, I can't remember what they are now, however for mpeg4 from what I saw a few months ago you are just SOL. Although I have heard a few people claim some sucess since then.
