Is forum search disabled somehow? No matter what I search for, I get no hits. No hits even for words like "tv" and "the". I would infinitely prefer a mailing list to a web forum, but I'm probably in the minority in that respect... |

I don't think common small words like "the" and "and" are searchable. Also, two letter works are skipped, such as "ip". Searching for "rca" works so it does honor some three letter words as long as they are not commonplace. You also can't search for a verbatim phrase. It will find all posts with your words in it, no matter what order they occur in the post. It's too bad, because phrase searching is extremely useful. |

Web forums are amazingly awful for many reasons. The fact that they are, in practice, unsearchable is just one of them. Among others is the the hideously ineficient user-interface. |
