 Post subject: PCM Mixer for live TV?

What could cause the PCM mixer to not work for live tv? I noticed that some DVD's are pretty quiet, and found that DVD playback is using PCM for volume level. When I try to use PCM for Live TV the volume adjustments dont do anything. I need to leave the master volume set pretty high if I dont then DVD playback can be very quiet.

I noticed that the volume changes in myth, but PCM volume levels do not change in alsamixer.
