Post subject: | MythWeb NO SOUND [SOLVED] |
Hi, I've just cleanly installed R5.5 on my system. I've recorded some stuff of the television using my Nova T 500 Hauppauge DVB-T card directly to the local hard disk. The files are still in the original format .mpg I then logged onto MythWeb and tried to view the asx stream of this recording using MPlayer but all I get is the picture and no sound. I then enabled the flash player in MythWeb (which is quite cool ![]() I cannot understand why as the file plays fine on MythTV?! Also if I try to transcode the file to XVid the transcode occurs in a couple of seconds also indicating that this is failing but normal transcode appears to work fine?! Any ideas what might be up, btw. in R5F27 MythStream never had sound but had perfect video with errors about the audio stream. Thanks! Mythman |

I have noticed this as well. livetv, and recorded works fine in mythfrontend, and playback is correct. however, in mythweb, the video works, but no sound (or in my case, audio sounds like scratchy snow *like no audio*) I am investigating as well. perhaps a codec issue. |

I noticed this as well. I've tried a few different things to fix it without any luck. My guess is that the mythweb player (as it states) is still experimental and it is related to that. I'll report back if I solve it. |

Hi, thanks for this I reckon it must be a codec issue too or something to do with not being able to process the video and audio streams in the .mpg file caputred direct from DVB-T at the same time. Just to clarify it is not just the flash player that doesn't work properly it is also: * The asx stream on MythWeb has no sound * Transcode to iPod produces no file * Transcode to XVid produces no file Thanks for your help, Mythman |

I think it might have to due with ffmpeg not having a codec or something. ffmpeg is used for the flash streaming, and also I think it is used for transcoding. |

To whoever may read this in the future... The problems appear to have been solved (at least the for the flash player, IPod and XVid atm) in the thread tzoom84 has linked to above: Get flash player working on R5.5: http://knoppmyth.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.p ... 7&start=15 Get iPod converter and Xvid transcoder working on R5.5: http://knoppmyth.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=18518 -Mythman |
