I just did a fresh install of R5.5, and I'm having troubles with the Video Manager. When it rebuilds the video database, I get a metric crap ton of files that I don't want in there. I unchecked Show unknown files in the general video options, and then the list goes down to nothing. My only associated file types are ogg, mp2, theora, ts, etc but not avi, mpg, mkv or the like. If I try to add them, as soon as I exit and come back in the new file types are gone. Why isn't it remembering my settings, and where are these definitions stored in case I have to manually add them?

I'm using R5F27 and was just in webmin editing some video data. I believe you will find them stored at:

Table: videotypes in database: mythconverg

About why they are not keeping the settings, sorry, that I can't answer.

Jim
