Post subject: | Can't use nuvexport on slave backend? |
I upgraded my master and slave backends from R5F27. The slave only has 60 GB on it, so I often use nuvexport to copy the files over to the master. I can no longer run nuvexport on the slave backend as mythtv. I get this error: Code: DBI connect('database=mythconverg:host=localhost;port=3306','mythtv',...) failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) at /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.0/MythTV.pm line 337
Cannot connect to database: Now in mythtv-setup, I have the database server as the master backend, not localhost. Furthermore, I can successfully run nuvexport as root, so it's a permissions problem. /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock does not exist. MySQL is not running at all on the slave. And, I don't know if this is related, but /myth/pretty on the slave is empty. Does it sound like my database isn't set up correctly? The slave records everything on its schedule properly. |
