I'm not sure if anyone else is having this problem, but my root drive kept getting full (or near full) with log files. The problem turned out to be two almost identical log rotate scripts that were causing logrotate to exit before rotating any of the additional log files.

/etc/logrotate.d/hibernate-script
/etc/logrotate.d/hibernate

I deleted "hibernate-script" and now logrotate will run again (logrotate -f /etc/logrotate.conf).

R5.5 Hints thread. See alien's post from Jul 25, 2008.

There is a fix in the live patcher for this issue and a number of others.
