Is it just me, or is this feature not working?
I run it from the menu and it appears to do something (yellow lettering pops up/overlays and a progress bar goes across the screen), but no thumbnails appear for my avi's in my video directory.
Is there something simple that I am not doing?
As an addendum to this, covers from the imdb do work with my dvd rips.
Ta.
Chris

I've not had much luck with the generator in 5.5, it's kind of hit n miss.

Has anyone played with the idea of adding the vf-add=screenshot filter to mplayer and assigning a remote key to 's' so we could grab a screenshot while watching and have that file auto-assigned as the cover file?

A reply to an old post, but I just had this problem and traced it to a few mp3 files that had mistakenly been placed in the video directory. The thumbnail script would hang on the first mp3 file it reached and would then hang on the next if I killed that process. Once I'd moved the files to where they should be and rescanned using Video Manager the thumbnail generation worked fine

Hi grd,
I know for a fact that there are no mp3 in my video folder, however perhaps there are some other files that are in there that are making it fall over.

Recently I have been crazy busy. So I haven't worried about this for a long time.

I've recently been interested in getting Bigb's mythvideo script working, but haen't had the time. Now my evening and weekends are suddenly much freeer, I think I will...

Thanks
