For some reason Myth can no longer tune my local FOX affiliate (36-1) through my HDHomerun. It worked perfectly for months but know I only get "partial lock". Using the HDHomerun config GUI and VLC on my Windows box I can tune FOX with no issues and it looks great (no pixelation or drops) on my PC.

Myth can tune all the other local stations but not FOX. It's obviously not a signal issue or an issue with the HDHomerun as it works perfectly on my PC. It also appears that the Myth box is properly tuning the HDHomerun to 36.1 (FOX) as the HDHomerun config GUI on the PC shows that the HDHomerun changes to 36.1 when the Myth box commands it too. In fact I can even launch VLC and watch FOX on my PC after tuning with Myth. For some reason Myth just doesn't seem to be able to find the stream.

I don't think this is truly a Knoppmyth or even a MythTV issue however I'm not sure it's an HDHomerun issue either. I don't think it's a network issue as everything else works so honestly I stumped and I don't really know where to look next.

I've considered the "brute force" approach where I go into setup and blow away my entire channel config and re-create it, then do a full refresh of mythfilldatabase but I'd like to try to avoid going down that route if possible. I always seem to break something when I do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Martian

Wow, that's a weird one. Are you getting this from OTA or cable? Isn't there a frequency adjust on the cable station definitions for digital signals? Maybe it got hosed in the database only for Fox?

All my programming comes OTA.

Finally got this sorted out. The local FOX affiliate changed their broadcast channel ID from their digital station number (36-1) to their analog station number (55-1). This caused Myth to freak out and not display the channel despite my HDHomerun properly tuning it.

Re-scanning channels in Myth-setup is what resolved the issue. Now I just need to get used to FOX being in a different place in the channel guide.
