R5.5 and mytharchive: I get long long long long long processing times, then no normal audio, lots of hiss.... just like many others. But it does work ok on EP, the audio is normal. EP seems like the only one that it works on. Weird. |

I would tend to disagree, I have used a few different profiles successfully. I did have one occasion burning 2 seperate recordings to 1 dvd iso when selecting the 1st recording from the dvd menu played the video & audio fine, but when playing the 2nd recording the video was fine, but with the audio hissing. When i created the iso again with just the recording that generated the hissing, it was fine. |

This is not specific to the post, but I have also found that recordings come back with nothing but noise for audio when being archived. I was following this thread, http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=19314&highlight= That also carries another link I found that relates to the same problem. So far I have not been able to resolve the issue although others describe that they have. |

Yes, some have recompiled ffmpeg with some success and others have used APT to get some stuff from a multimedia site, but perhaps the "unstable" releases have been updated since the posts on here, and no longer work (as of 1-21-09). I suppose the safest would be to recompile ffmpeg. But I don't know, if anybody does know, chime in! |
