Lately my mythbox has become very slow, and at times will say it cannot find the backend and after accepting the error dialog, it will find the backend. The Backend was not offline during these instances. Here is a snippet from the backend log which I believe is the problem:

Unfortunately I am not sure where to go from here. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

My machine is a combined FE/BE which is set up to allow a connection from another FE only machine. The same slow and unresponsive behavior is seen on both frontends.

The issue turned out to be a failing network card. Replaced the card and all is well.
