Well after a few weeks of using the system it appears you are correct... the EIT data is great for liveTV but useless for the myth database. Heaps of shows have not recorded because the EIT data is constantly changing. Channel 10 seems to be the worst.

when i get time I will have another go at installing shepherd.

pacman -S shepherd worked here flawlessly on a new install. I then just ran shepherd fron a mythtv xterm which led me through the configuration process.

Hi everyone,

If it's any help - I'm also seeing the same type of seg fault (and a "failed code 139" in shepherd) for the two grabbers REX and NEWS. The other grabbers within shepherd can usually cover for the two failures so good tv data is still supplied.

"~/.shepherd/shepherd --check" says OK to everything shepherd-wise.

I believe both those grabbers use perl javascript, could that be a clue?

I installed shepherd via: "sudo pacman -S shepherd" on my updated R6.00.08

R6 looks good!

HTD.
