The oddest thing happened, both my MBE and FE machine lost their sound driver. I had to re-run '# alsaconf' to restore it. I just found it odd that it happened on both machines.

I have had similar things (not sound) that happen to both the MBE and SBE/FE and they make absolutely no sense. If it was a windows unit I would say it is a virus. I haven't had any time to spend on it.

my whole r5.5 got corrupted yesterday, had to reinstall... came up with readonly file systems, then prgressively booted less and less... ended up fresh installing R6, which is a beauty!
