Is it possible to easily update Miro? I use it all the time to grab podcasts and I'm very happy to see it in R5.5 that I'm running now.

Exactly what do you mean by 'update'? The package in mythtv works flawlessly. I don't have any broadcast, cable or satellite tv so I use miro to get all my shows.

Running it as a separate process from the frontend makes is easier to work with, and I wrote my own script to move the files to mythtv

You can try apt-get update && apt-get install miro. Or just backup and upgrade to R6. R6 already has the latest.
