I'm using an ATI Remote Wonder with the kernel driver (I don't like way LIRC handles this remote, and have so many media files that it would take forever to navigate through my collection if I didn't have the repeating keypress behavior that is only present in the dragon kernel remote driver). I just got a new IRBlaster, but when I ran the /usr/local/bin/irblaster.sh, I received the following error: Code: Selected Motorola_DCT2000.
System startup links for /etc/init.d/irblaster already exist. Stopping irblaster daemon: irblasterdNo process in pidfile `/var/run/irblasterd.pid' found running; none killed. . WARNING: Could not open '/lib/modules/2.6.23-chw-4/misc/lirc_dev.ko': No such file or directory FATAL: Error inserting lirc_serial (/lib/modules/2.6.23-chw-4/misc/lirc_serial.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) ################################################## ## UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHICH DEVICE lirc_serial ## ## is using. ## ################################################## Is this happening because I don't use LIRC? Is there ANY way I can get it to work without using the LIRC driver for the ATI remote? If not, I have an IRBlaster for sale... being able to record HBO isn't worth losing a great remote... |
