Since I spied the .09 disc release, and haven't seen any nasty bugs reported lately I thought I would update my HTPC, but I got this error:

Should I be using -Syuf ?

I'm a bit scared of forcing anything (haven't needed to previously).

Edit: Seems it was just a couple of recalcitrant packages, they have been updated in the repositories allowing me to update without having to delete or force anything :)

Hi there. I just performed a.....

On my machine (running mythtv-vdpau)and I get the following error

error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
/etc/issue exists in both 'LinHES-config' and 'filesystem'
Errors occurred no packages were upgraded.


Any idea how I fix this or what the problem could be? Previous updates worked fine.

If that is the only error use the -f flag. It looks like a harmless overlap where something (the system identification shown at login) is in the process of being moved from one package to another.
